Beisbol

For those of you who do not follow the national pastime (and you are missing out because we have just hit the absolute sweet spot of what, admittedly, is a lengthy season), the picture at left is my proof positive of two things: (1) Baseball is the national pastime, it is America's sport of sports, because it is so egalitarian. Don't let the Father Christmas physique fool you, this man is the ace of his staff, the leading Cy Young contender in his league, and considered (at least by some) one of the premier pitchers in the game. Ah Baseball - representative of all that once was good and could be again, indeed. Every little boy can legitimately grow up believing he could be a big leaguer. Unfortunately not so much for the little girls, but... anyway. (2) He (Bartolo Colon, for those who are curious) also uncannily resembles a rather overweight Sideshow Bob. Yes? No? Or perhaps Adam Duritz? What about Justin Guarini's dork(ier) older brother?
